FAQ's

We want you to feel confident and excited about giving your dog the Zoomies experience! Here are answers to some of the most common questions from pet parents like you.

Why use a treadmill instead of a dog walker?

Treadmills provide controlled, consistent exercise tailored to your dog’s speed, stamina, and behavior. Our treadmills are propelled solely by the dog, so the dogs are always going at their own pace. Some like to stroll for a while and some like to run at full speed from start to finish. Unlike unpredictable walks with distractions, changing weather, or changing routes, treadmill sessions allow us to focus entirely on your dog’s fitness, form, and needs. They're also perfect for dogs who struggle with leash reactivity, anxiety, or distractions during traditional walks.

Is treadmill running safe for dogs?

Yes! Our slat-style treadmills are designed specifically for dogs and are 100% dog-powered—meaning your pup controls their own pace. Sessions are supervised one-on-one by trained handlers, and each run is adjusted based on your dog’s age, health, and energy level.

 How long is each session?

Each Zoomies session typically lasts 20–30 minutes, depending on your dog’s endurance and the plan you’ve chosen. Time includes warm-up, cool-down, and rest breaks when needed.

What if my dog has never used a treadmill?

No problem! We gently introduce each dog to the treadmill at their own pace. Most dogs adapt quickly with positive reinforcement, patience, and encouragement from our friendly handlers. Your dog's favorite toy and treats help to get them used to the treadmills.

Do I have to be home during the session?

Nope! If you add our Fetch 'n Go service, we’ll safely retrieve your pup from inside your home and return them afterward. We will also give them a potty break before and after their session. You’ll still receive a video update so you don’t miss a thing.

Can more than one dog in my household join?

Yes! We offer multi-dog plans and discounted add-ons for households with more than one pup. We run dogs on side-by-side treadmills for safety. If you have more than two dogs, we will schedule their back-to-back sessions since we only have two treadmills.

What is Royal Treatment?

Our optional Royal Treatment add-on includes post-run paw care, a soothing rub down, and a healthy treat to reward your pup. It’s the perfect way to turn exercise into a spa day!

What areas do you serve?

We currently serve families in Utah County, including American Fork, Orem, Provo, Lehi, and surrounding cities. Not sure if you're in our zone? Contact us and we’ll check!

What do I need to do before the first visit?

Just fill out our intake form, sign our policies, and make sure your dog is up-to-date on vaccines. If you're using Fetch 'n Go, we’ll need instructions on how to access your pup.
